@socomfan555 Play both of them ! :D

@FuzzyPuppetFactory Battles don't work. You'll see two figures with swords in the map, representing a battle. And that's all. The game lacks military strategy, you can only create units and move them. The fight system is just like throwing daces. There's no first/third person view, nor perspective view... nothing. It's all limited to the map. The playability is quite limited. The building stuff is heavily limited too. I found the game very dissapointing....

@lavafire1987 yeah it is a lot like it just a LOT more to the game...

Reminds me abit of Europa Universalis, except this is much better graphically.

So, as someone who likes Total War, what can I expect from this? Looks really in depth and a lot more areas and stuff than Total War usually has. How do battles work?

@socomfan555 Total War is more of watered down strategy game
There is no comparison between Crusader Kings (or and Paradox title) and Total War. Total War is not a grand strategy game.
As somebody who like both games for what they offer, I can say, Total War is great with its awesome graphics and intense looking battles, but has a horrible Startegic AI that isn't worth poop and is extremely simplified as a strategy game. The reason for that is because the game is supposed to be a real time strategy game, of which, it is the best of its kind.
