the great thing about this goal too was that some reporter had challenged him to score off a faceoff and said that he couldn't do it. 66000$ later said the reporter.

@fuster07 Not to mention tht Gretzky entered the league on a team full of talent....Mario got to be drafted by the Penguins, who had zero talent and were about to go bankrupt. The. Best. Ever.

@JoJaDaRu orr is good better than gretsky or whatever but i just like lemieux style how good and big and powerfull he was i think hes the best of all time

@fuster07 "Killed" might be an exaggeration. He probably would have beat Greztky's records for goals and points the year he went out originally. We'll never know now so it's all speculation but I doubt he would have ever beat Gretzky's assist record, and neither ever came close to Orr's +/- record. Lemieux was less a playmaker then Gretzky and more a goal scorer. Both were great players obviously. Orr is still my man though.
