I find this record to have undescribeable high and low frequency response for an acoustic recording. I will note that the record is in very good condition. I am quite sure of the year and if I did not notice that there was no VE stamped on the record then I would believe this to be an electric recording.

  • It's acoustic, An electric recording of the same Conductor had the full symphony not the small studio sized one recorded here.

  • Thank you Very much for you work. I do still have to remove a few bugs with the way I have my turntable connected to my computer and with a bit of system noise. I did figure that this was not the whole Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra. I'm sure it would have been quite a challange to fit them infront of two or three horns! Do you do any Acoaustic record cutting experiments? Again Thanks for the info.

  • Per your message, The records responsive range in 95Hz on the low end and 3500 Hz on the high end but it hard to tell, the sectrograph is muddled after 3000 Hz either because of you recording technic or the audio format. Great Record Victor Red seal record always used the finest SHallac and recording equipment so they always have a nice range even before the use of the microphone
