@gavinbaynes OK so I'm dyslexic, I used 678 instead of 768. And I was thinking 1600 yards per mile but that's meters. So I'll admit I was wrong there. But I can assure you, .191 seconds is noticeable. Here's a video of a full court basketball shot, which is only 31 yards or so. If you can't notice the delay in sound, you're just not registering it. I can see/hear the delay clear as day. I was wrong on the math (been years since I had physics), but I wasn't wrong on the missing delay.

@curtisjb1983 First off, he's kicking a 50 yard field goal. And secondly, the speed of sound is 784 mph in a dry climate at roughly 90 degrees Fahrenheit (assuming he is in Arizona). So lets say the camera is 8 yards back for a total of 58 yards. 1 mph = 0.49 yards/second. 784 mph = 383.29 yards/second. 58 yards/383.29 = 0.151 seconds. Again, that isn't significant enough to notice on the clip. I thought you said you knew what the speed of sound was? Doesn't look like it.

@gavinbaynes LOL, First off, it's more like 75 yards to where the camera is (67 yard field goal plus 8 to the camera). And secondly, I SURE DO. Do you? It's 678 mph at sea level. Shall I do the math for you since you probably didn't pass math school? I shall. 678 mph = 1084800 yards/h = 301.33 yards/second. 75 yards/301.33 yards/second = .248 seconds. I can assure you, a quarter of a second is significant! Unless you're still in 1st grade and still think a second is instantaneous.

the houston texans DID pick you, so, i got a better trick for you. try kicking the ball BETWEEN the uprights at tomorrow's game. can you do that for us? its kinda our first playoff game and i'd really like to see the texans win it. i know you were with AZ for a while, but this game has been 17yrs in the making for us. thanks big guy.
