취화선 2002, Korean Movie Director Im Kwon-taek won "Best Director" at the Cannes Film Festival 2002 for this picture starring Choi Min-shik and Ahn Sung-ki.
I was trying to do some digging also. I think the music to the trailer is a compilation of different pieces of Kim Yong-dong. I recognized one part to be Sampo Ganun Gil...But I really like the part with the climatic Daegum. I am not sure the title to that piece. If I find something I'll post too. Thank you.
These are the Korean Trailers in Korean language. But there is a Japanese Character in the Trailer who speaks to Choi Min-shik's character in Japanese (there is a translator sitting next to him). This part is subtiteld in hangul (korean letters).
An excellent bondage of biograpical work in the history of Korea and the life of an artist in the nineteen century. Awesome photography.
