one year later, well you probably know this by now but Nimoy was asked to direct generations but didn't want to because the script sucked (it did) he was also going to play a micro part in the film, when he said no they re wrote very little and gave his role to James Doohan (Scotty) also interesting to note that Chekov is doing McCoys lines (Kelly also didn't want too) Spock was also to appear at the end of the movie at a church where Kirk would have been burred. im glad he didn't do it

Those two need to be in a new Star Trek movie. It would be a box office smash! Especially if they star in it!

So did Nimoy refuse to be part of that movie (when Kirk died) or was Spock just not written into the story and he couldn't appear?

That bit about Nimoy being "lighter than air" was priceless. I was there. Lousy seats, but I heard that and I was there.
