I had a chance to participate in a portion of the Emerald Ash Borer delimitation project run by the New York State Forestry. This video is the crew I worked with for the week I was there. Most were a volunteers from the states of Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, and New Hampshire.
You'll find a hammer and chisel a lot more useful than draw knives. Been working with this bug since 2003 in NW Ohio. Best of Luck New York!!!
