Very good, Geoff! I love Zwiefachers! I only know Hirschegger as a fast polka, and is quite different from your Zwiefacher! Keep up the good work!
Grias aus die US! :-)

Lovely sounds and great playing, Geoff, on these venerable and rich-sounding instruments! These vintage gems exhibit a world of unique voicing which has unfortunately been lost to the more modern, mass-produced counterparts.

@FromHolbergsTime yes Glenn, If I could afford it I would buy more vintage instruments to save them from rusting in the junk heap. It can cost hundreds of dollars to have a small accordion professionally re-tuned and airtight, and much more for a full size. So I'm learning how to do it on my own, but it's very labor intensive.

Do you learn by Griffschrift or standard notation?
dhoshield 9 months ago
@dhoshield I bought the Michlbauer books and am learning griffschrift ( 5 finger on the keys method), however, I have written a bunch of songs out from standard notation into Griffschrift, as it is truly an easy way to play the harmonika. I've been palying for about 9 months now, hope to be good in about 5 years!
