Brigadoon is so wonderful and great! I was born 4 years after but when i saw it in the cable channel, i was amazed. It was so wonderful to see this movie again and again. I'm hoping that the local channels will air this very great and so wonderful movie of all time!!!!

I have to say the movie version is not my favorite. That's because Meg Brockie isn't as main a character as she is in the stage version. She has two amazing songs in the original score. I was fortunate enough to play her and I have to say the stage version outweighs the movie greatly!

Yes, the songs are wonderful - but then again, what isn't wonderful from Rogers and Hammerstein..

Brigadoon is wonderful, as are the songs, but it isn't Rogers and Hammerstein, It's Lerner and Lowe

I agree with you on the composers. Rogers and Hammerstein were my favorites and Oklahoma! is still my favorite musical. I don't know of any show that has as many singable songs. Only "Poor Judd is Dead" cannot be sung out of context.

Brigadoon is my second favorite.

btw, Richard Rogers was a friend of my grandfather. So, for that matter, was Irving Berlin, but I never met either although I lived next door to my grandfather.

Those are my top two as well. :) I was in both of them within the last year which was such a blessing. They are so much fun and the music is wonderful! And that is so neat that your grandfather knew Rogers and Berlin. Very impressive!
