5D2 vs 40D shutter sound (*)

This particular 5d2 actually had some mechanical fault, which caused that sound and slight vibration. They've replaced the mirror box. Now works like a charm :)

Don't be jealous :) The more gear you get, the more you have to worry about it.

Exactly.... more gear more problems. I recently banged up my Nikon D90. The plastic part that has the Nikon logo was cracked.... Still works fine, but it's a pain in the ass and sad to damage expensive cameras. I'll probably send it in to Nikon to get it fixed.
