Hay Just had a thought regarding your Coupler problems. Due to you doing away with the Clutch, as you change gear your causing the problem. crunching gears if you forget to lift off the gas pedal.

I have generally been running this car at 72V. I think that's what it was at then.
I have run it up to 144V. That's lots of fun, but the extra batteries take up my cargo space.

You can break the engine by having in nutral and revving in!!! CAREFUL, Looks great!! in (hd)

Yep, that is possible. That's why I was only lightly reving it.
I had a mike on the motor and the camera volume cranked up.
Besides that, since it's a solid coupler between the motor and transmission, there's always a little load on the motor.
