  • @batflash ...Besides if you knew anything of the way the music industry worked nowadays, you'd know that there's no room to an all powerful influence anymore unless they're a pop act... which is what Jimi was. Unfortunately, today's pop is talentless garbage that pales in comparison to the pop of the 60's and 70's. Guitar gods don't exist anymore because the general listener cares nothing of the craft and is mainly focused on the lifestyle of the artist or ear candy of the production.

  • @sweepyjessica I think he's been practicing Cliffs of Dover and almost everything he plays in that style sounds like the end of the intro section.

  • SUPERLEAD!!!

  • He sounds like Ej when he noodles around but on his albums he's Jb.

  • noisy rig,

  • @FlipsidesBand But youre not.... he is famous, while you just sit on youtube......

  • why does it matter that he sounds like EJ?

  • Joe's super talented but there's already an Eric Johnson. I would avoid sounding so much like EJ if I were Joe.

  • @batflash well said my friend

  • Its good that he sounds like Eric Johnson. I heard Eric Gales also playing tribute to Eric Johnson. Fact is, Johnson is a great guitar player and a worthy influence. Joe sounds like himself, but he has a lot of influences, as he should. I'd say he is one of our great blues players working in the popular circuit. I like his live perforance album he did in England.

  • @outtacastatv What's up with your obsession with his weight? Hendrix was a skinny black punk who dropped out of the army because he was lazy. Didn't matter because he one of rock guitar's greater influences, right? Well, Bonamassa, while I'm not a huge fan of the dude, is hailed as one of the greatest guitar players of our time. He's featured on countless music publications and holds clinics to teach other guitarists on the craft. He's not an idol, but a great influence.
