  • @TechnicCreations

Glad I could help with this video...

and by the way...it's not in HD quality either

  • hi,just checked again but mine original one definately is like in the video.maybe bang & olufsen later made a slight adjustment to the cord, cause I have mine for over 6 years i guess. Please keep in mind that the fake ones definately are being "upgraded" to look more like the original ones...enjoy the vid

  • I sell earphones on ebay, and sometimes, i got cheated by my supplier. If this happens, I'd immediately find a new supplier and stop doing business with the dodgy ones.

Before listing them, I will always test and check for their authenticity by doing some online research. :)

And if they're not genuine, I will mention that they're a brandless earphones and not Bang&Olufsen, and sell them at the cost price (to recover some money).

  • @informant007 ironic, i bought mine from a Bob in Orlando FL and could tell they were fake in an instant, i quickly returned them, him claiming he didn't know, yea right...

  • @informant007 Yep, I have just received those :-/. Watch out everyone.

I really hope eBay is going to do something about this. It is highway robbery. The seller don't check what they sell? (And buy?)

  • @slyrotes Good answer:)

  • One more thing...

Anybody wanting reference material photos of real and fake A8 headphones should head over to "Flickr.com". Search on "B&O A8". You will find some terrific high resolution photos. There is one set of fakes particularly highlighted there, the ones with silver tips on the arms. But those seem much less common these days.

If you are interested in B&O A8 headphones, be very careful about non-store purchases. The fakes are still out there in great numbers.

  • NEW WARNING SIGN of fakes:

The latest round of fakes that I've spotted on eBay have a very obvious flaw: the ends of the ear stems. Rather than being tapered to a point, the fakes are chopped off (squared off) at the ends. It's VERY easy to spot. Some of them also have improper screens that don't go all the way to the edge.

Be advised that there is a guy named "Bob" from Orlando FL presently selling these with the fake box as illustrated in this video.

  • This video is over 3 years old and is now out of date.

Since that time, the counterfeit A8 creators have gotten clever. The new ones look even closer to the original. They've even copied the manual to look far more authentic. Unfortunately, the creator of the video spent so much time on the leather case, which I think would have been better spent with close-ups of the fake and real ones.

  • Mine matches the one on the RIGHT but my is GENUINE. I got my pair with my neuromonics device through my Audiologist who is treating my Tinnitus. My cord in the "Y" section looks exactly like the one on the RIGHT.

I think I know what the problem is. You are the one selling the FAKES so you produced a video to train everyone to buy your fakes over the genuine. LOL
