Warner Bros obviously knows how to hire visual and special effects directors but they need to work more on hiring better the advertisers and writers. Sure, I'm a HUGE DC fan but when I saw the first trailer I didn't even want to see this movie. Then after the second trailer, I went to see the movie and was disappointed at how superfical the movie was.

If you knew thing one about comics you would know that black Green Lantern, John Stewart, wasn't introduced till the 70's. The producers chose to represent the "Silver Age" Green Lantern, Hal Jordan, because he was by far the most popular of all the Green Lanter characters since 1959, and they knew telling this character's story would please the most hard core fans.As as black woman it makes me cringe when the race card is used unnecessarily, it lessens its power for when it's really apropos.

Why Blake Lively? =/ Why hasn't kate beckinsale been in a superhero movie yet? She would probably be the superhero instead of the lady friend though.
