I grew up in decatur, delivered the herald in homepark area,,thats where I grew up,,we were sent to roosevelt middle school and it sucked,,went to Mac for one year and graduated from SDHS in 1980. Racism is alive and well and was very much in Decatur when I was there,, if you think its bad there move to Houston.
Funny how many black and white friends I had at school . Decatur is no more racist than anyplace else.

Alot of u have good coments about the situation at hand but all I'm hearing is negativity about what once was a great place to live and it's not black or white thing it a U thing what r U doing to make it better so before U complain what r U doing to make it clean or make it safe don't slander if U allow it to happen that's y it's called community and no one is for it anymore.
