Just watched all 13 parts (- missing pt5). Compelling viewing for anyone that loves KJ's music. A sensitive portrait of a great musician. Great to hear him speak with humility and candour about his music and his emotional commitment to it. Moving to hear the story behind some of the tunes, his illness and his relationship with his second wife.
Thanks to the makers of this program and to underpolka for posting it!

So explain it to me...what you think he means.
I've listened to Jarrett for 30 years so I think I know a s much about his music as anyone. I also think I'm allowed to disagree with him without getting censored. In fact I've even written a letter to Downbeat defending him after he got slammed in the Letter section...so I'm not exactly his enemy.
I admire him...even when I think he falters at times.

hopefully not offending anyone, but I am actually quite surprised that Jarrett can be such a normal person when not playing at the piano!
