WORLD PREMIERE AT THE 2010 SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL! A short documentary-cum-horror film about the scariest corporate symbol in history, The 1964 Screen Gems logo, aka The S From Hell. Built around interviews with survivors still traumatized from viewing the logo after shows like Bewitched or The Monkees, the film brings their stories to life with animation, found footage, and reenactments.

  • Is this an actual horror short or a parody of the genre? I laughed at the trailer and the picture of the little girl running away from the big blue S.

I remember being jolted by this as little kid after "Bewitched" and other period TV shows, but I just shook it off a few minutes later and watched the next program. No nightmares or lasting trauma. Oh well... I wish you good luck at the Sundance Festival, and hope it wins an award.

  • @richartrod- thanks! And its not exactly either, though it is a real documentary...

  • I have Asperger's and I approve the HELL out of this movie.

  • And another contender would be Viacom's V of Doom for others.

  • How is this scary???

  • Call me crazy, but I loved the Screen Gems logo! Back then, I always thought it was hip and modern and it was attached to most all of my favorite TV shows (Hazel, Bewitched, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Jonny Quest, The Monkees and The Partridge Family). I knew with any new show it was gonna be some good TV with the Screen Gems mark attached to it.

  • 0:11 sounds totally like World 7 from Eversion.

  • I personally don't find the logo that scary, but this was a clever idea. (:

  • Just watched the documentary! It was great with real testimonials by survivors!
