Using River's Diary was a great Doctor Who version of The Never Ending Story book!

I liked that show, well the bit I saw, but I don't knwo who that guy is....in the one I saw, Dr. Who is played by someone else. And he's also the same guy playing in the GI Joe movie, I think as Scorpion.

That's right, Christopher Eccleston played the Doctor in the first new season. He was actually the 9th actor to play the Doctor.
Doctor Who began in 1963 and the actor who plays the Doctor frequently changes. It is explained in the show that when the Doctor dies, he can cheat death by regenerating, but he gets a new face.
The Doctor here is played by David Tennant. He also played Barty Crouch Jr. in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

There were other humorous scenes that I chose not to add to this video. Because of the slow pace, I felt they detract from the trailer setting:
The Face of Boe: "We haven't spoken to anyone else for thousands of years."
Rose: "They look like big, strong hands, don't they? ... But I just couldn't hold on."
