@princeofpownage There are 2 versions of the 83850c. One of them will say v2 at the end. The v2 will require the same mod as the 93450c. If you have the drive without the v2, then you don't need to open the drive at all. Google jungleflasher guide and click on the first link. That will answer most of your modding questions.

Hey, i got a lite on drive, but it was manufactured in 2008, should that be fine just flashing it without having to buy a connectivity kit/probe?

@jamesdobrincic Sorry for the late replay. You'll have to check the top of the 360 to see which drive it is. If the number on top starts with a 7 or a 9, then you'll have to open the drive and use the connectivity kit. Note: the process for the 9 is different than the 7 and is more complicated.

If you're flashing your drive with ixtreme LT then be sure to use JungleFlasher 1.70. The earlier versions will not work. You will use the dvdkey32 tab to read the drive, the firmtool32 tab to spoof the ixtreme fw with your drive key, and the MTKflash32 tab to erase and write the drive.

I notice you said in one of your annotations that the 83850c drive doesn't require opening to mod. is that true?
