@joshywah, Yeah, it lived (for a while afterwards anyways). Since we were just investigating sublethal attacks, as opposed to lethal ones, we were able to rescue the aplysia after the attacks.
I love aplysia too. I actually think they're really cute slugs lol. Like with all animal research, we try to not inflict any unnecessary pain on them and only do so, in conjunction with measures like using anesthesia where possible, when their is worthwhile scientific data that can be extracted.
