  • I don't think they ever did any better than this concert.

  • It's faster...always a good thing in rock music of any kind! :D Most of the Carnegie Hall versions improved upon the studio recordings and the performance of Ashes are burning is simply priceless.

  • This is what all children should be exposed to in music education, period. Forget the rock and rap, this is classical with mainstream at it's best. Her voice is one in perfect harmony with the music. That's Art! Thank you so much for posting this. I've awakened to true musical form.

  • One of the most underrated bands of this era. They were incredible, especially live. I saw them at Massey Hall, in Toronto and my friend and I were blown away. MAGIC!!!!!!!!

  • 4:50

  • and I thought the studio version was good!

  • Annie Haslam & Renaissance, Still The Greatest Music Ever Done. Annie, The Voice Of An Angel & The Greatest Female Singer Of All Time.

  • Damn, there's a gap in my education - any group that uses Jehan Alain's music as inspiration is, in my book, worth every upward pointing thumb available! Excellent !!!

(For anyone who'd like to hear the original version of Alain's "Litanies", feel free to visit my channel where I've recently posted a 100th birthday tribute to JA)

  • Was für wundervolle Musik !

  • I' ve heard this intro before, It is based ond the Litanies by Jehan Alain a French organplayer and brother of Matie Claire Alian.

  • God, yes!
