Former Chancellor Alistair Darling has accused George Osborne of taking risks with Britain's economic recovery. . Follow us on twitter at http://twitter.com/itn_news .
@JusticeSeeker1000 It wasn;t so much that keynes was an idiot, but that the idea of fiscal stimulus should be used when starting from a position of relative fiscal strength. The UK's was already in a weak position before engaging in such a stimulus. However, china also launched a massive stimulus to great effect, since it was in a strong financial position prior to the financial crisis.
Keynes was an idiot, his methods have been proven to be a disaster, this whole welfare for the poor has blown up in everyones faces, the welfare state and public sector are just too expensive, and they create more problems than they solve.
Labour don't have a leg to stand on. They've created a welfare/ benefits state, encouraging idleness and punishing work, they throw money at every problem just making it worse and worse, and the social divide now is worse than it has ever been. Far too many families are long term welfare reliant, raising kids who will be just the same, but in the mean time they're contributing nothing to society except for crime, drug, anti-social behaviour and let's be honest, they need to be HIT.
what a douche. he says he wants more growth but for long term growth we need a reduced government deficit. all he is cocerned about is short term performance.
@JamieWayneRothery I fully agree with you. This seems like some plot from a James Bond film. I really can't see the LibDem MPs supporting this and believing they'll ever be re-elected

As long as the majority of people believe politicians are there to serve the public, we will continue to get shafted,.
