Julie is learning to do touch-screen-work on a PC. This is a long time study at the Clever Dog Lab of the University of Biology in Vienna.
Julie has to look at a symbol (in the lower middle of the screen) then she is shown two symbols and has to nose-click on the symbol she saw before. (matching to sample)
As pictures on a screen are a very low stimulus to a dog, this has to be trained quite intensely. For each correct click the computer spits out a piece of dogfood.
