Cara Cowan Watts of District 7 took 140,000 dollars to build a community building. The money is gone and the building is not even near finished. She wants the Cherokee people to finish it even though she had the money to complete it through a matching grant 280,000. Cara voted against an increase to 1,000 per semester college scholarships for our young people. She thinks 200 is more than enough for college for our kids. Buel Anglen of District 8 is Cara's friend and foe during meetings they whisper, pass notes and giggle when serious issues are discussed such as health care for our Elders and children. He is running illegally, he has already reached his term limits. Buel has violated the neptoism laws and has employed family members in top jobs in the Cherokee Nation.

  • @NativeWarrior89 ummm... the CNO is mostly white people.

  • Sorry, but could you not swear. . . just sayin'! Don't take it personnaly!

  • Clowns being elected and running CNO began with Swimmer, with the number 1 election of of the CNO,TRATIORS, added to the name later! for the Acronym (CNOT) for the traitorous acts of CNOT, against the Cherokee Living Poverty, and carried on by all following Chiefs, as the incoming funds grew and grew. To learn how swimmer began this, simply GOOGLE "requesting enlightenment" the second item from the top by David Cornsilk will answer the question!

  • It was better in many cases. A practice mostly engaged in by intermarried whites and mixed-bloods should not reflect on full-blooded, traditional Cherokees. Many times the "slaves" could buy their freedom through work, essentially like indentured servitude. Raids which took prisoners was practiced by certain tribes long before the Europeans came.

  • I'd just like to know your opinion.

  • I honestly don't mean to get argumentative, but are you saying that somehow makes it better or excusable or that it should somehow not reflect on the Cherokees? And that is an honest question. :)

  • Most of the "slaves" within the Cherokee nation were owned by intermarried whites and mixed-bloods. And most of those owned by mixed-bloods and the very few full-bloods were treated a lot better than those slaves of whites in and outside of the nation, many became apart of the family. Simply saying "Cherokees" can be very misleading.

  • cool video good job on this video the cherokee people do not needs him in the cherokee nation and chad stop the clowns around but i can't vote i'm keetoowah

  • They need to stop clowning around and start doing a better job running the Nation!
