Abstract Rude is a rapper from L.A. He's been around since 1994. This is his 1st or 2nd solo album.

This album wasn't the best. Had a couple of decent songs, but nothing really brought the fire. It had a serious lack of variation. The rapping was sort of good, but very much so safe.

No edge, no balls, no punches. The majority of the beats, save for maybe on 2 tracks, are very lifeless and uninspired sounding.

I found this album to be quite boring. If you like your hip hop to be excessively on the positive tip, very laid back, swear free, and reference samosas and preachy storytelling, by all means check this guy out.

Not really into hip hop at all. I really don't recommend that you investigate further into this putrid, decrepid genre, Phil. You're a rock and metal guy, not some snot nose hip hop gangsta wannabe.

I'll agree that is decrepit as of late, but it used to be one of the most innovative genres out. Plenty of underground artists defy lots of gangsta stereotypes.

Beastie Boys used to be one of my favorite bands.

Tupac is good, but he is THE most overrated rapper of the genre of hip-hop. But over all, hip-hop is great regardless
