We would like to thank everyone for all these pleasant comments! Thanks for your encouragements!

We precise (due to the number of comments about it) that because of copyright issues we called the movie "Ryleh" instead of R'Lyeh. We wanted to show it in various festivals but we didn't know if we had the right to use the word "R'Lyeh" (in France we can't use anything about "Tintin" because of the copyrights, even amateurs). That's why we changed the name a little bit... But in the movie, we kept the right spelling on the book.
Cthulhu has different spellings in many tales... so why can't R'Lyeh?

"An old fisherman brings a mysterious chest up in his nets. He brings it back home only to discover that it was best left at the bottom of the sea. A digitally animated short film inspired by the world of H.P. Lovecraft".

  • :D the words on the book are german , it says : Lines writen in Ryleth

  • @Cedrikovitch ive heard that rlyeh somewhere located in the pacific ocean......

  • Creepy.

  • really very good

  • @JakobsMovieTutorials i never said it had to be the sameas in call of cthulhu. according to lovecraft all the statues around the world are ALMOST (im emphasising almost) the same, and no offence to the guy who made this but thats way

  • you got the statue wrong. but other thn that good job

  • @Cedrikovitch Have you considered making the music available for download? I wouldn't even mind paying for it on iTunes. The music between 2:55 and 4:03 is absolutely amazing. :D

  • Both H.P. Lovecraft and Cthulhu are proud of the people who made this film.

However, the former thinks that old man was stupid. The latter thinks the man's soul tastes good.

  • this would make a great Rpg game, due to the fact that this can be built upon say, on the opening scene where he got the box that would be the first cutscene in the game, then you have to bring the chest back open, so on and so forth, you would also have a sanity meter, and you would travel up the tower of ryleh and the final boss is cthulthu and then at the final cut scene your character is face down in the water.
