Wave Installation Art designed by Reuben Margolin (www.reubenmargolin.com) for the New Century Chamber Orchestra's performance of REWIND on January 19, 2008 at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Forum in San Francisco.

The music contains excerpts from two of the program pieces: Biagio Marini's Passacaglio and "A Bird's Prelude" from Henry Purcell's "A Faerie Queen."
Featured musicians for this concert will include Paul Haas, Anne Akiko Meyers, Raushan Akhmedyarova, and Mason Bates.

I went to this concert in SF. The total experience was stunning!
But as for this art work, now that I watched this video, I feel viewing it from this angle is much better than hanging it high above our heads. I can feel the wave much better this way, and the the structure and movement of the strings also becomes part of our visual appreciation.
I'd love to see the orchestra surrounding this wave all around and playing REWIND!
