This is video 2 of the blues guitar lesson. It feateres information on how to play a melody while playing a simple bass. So how to make your fingers independent from your thumb. There are several other ways to learn independence but this lesson is most focussed on playing special tecniques in the melody with a simplebass. I've added 2 examples of other ways to play a bass part (Alternate basslines and walking bass line) There's some more explanation about playing and making a walking bass line in this video : http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=GvQp3DWvlPw Hope you'll enjoy this little lesson and that you can do your benefit of it ! Feel free to rate, respond or subscribe, it's much apreciated!!! For more info : www.myspace.com/heronymusic

  • Heron Hi, thanks so much, I'm learning blues fingerstyle and finding it very difficult to achieve Thumb Independence. I love the idea of playing a scale under the thumping base like you did in A. This is really helpful, more like this please :o) Goorbarr, aka Richard, UK
