@deejin25 None of that fancy stuff works when your opponent resists... but if it makes you feel good, keep doing it and keep nurturing your big kajukenbo/kenpo belly. Once your pant size exceeds 40 inches, you can get your 5th degree belt.
@nerdswers Thanks for giving me another way to drill non lethal strikes. HoweverI do those things already when doing sanshou sparring though. The cool thing since I can also do my traditional street combat stuff, along with striking targets, iron palm, bagwork, conditoning, forms, weapons, meditation, herbal medicine, visualization, wooden dummy etc. That's why kung fu and silat are complete, not limited to mere sport applications , worked for me since 1979.
@deejin25 Don't use that LAME /ABSURD excuse to avoid training with a resisting opponent.Instead of kicking the balls...kick the legs; instead of poking the eyes...jab the face. There are REALISTIC ways to practice what you believe you're learning without having to strike soft tissue.Don't fall into the trap of thinking that kickboxers/boxers can't kick ur nuts, poke ur eyes or hit ur throat. They can will do so in a street fight, and they'll be very effective because of their realistic practice.
@nerdswers You're right, when practicing they should actually poke each other in the eyes, rupture testicles, break ribs, hit the throat, kick each others knees and elbow smash each other repeatedly in the spine. Anything else would be bad training.
This is just a small portion of the art. These self-defense techniques are designed to learn a reaction. We don't have to beat up our partners to learn that's why everything is done with speed and power in case we are in a situation where we are grabbed or have a knife swung at us. Don't get it twisted, point sparring helps. If you don't think so, you've been sparring the wrong people. We do continuous and brawling as well but you won't see very much of that here.Come and learn a little something:)
Its hard to take the video into context but realize that at this point every student was 3 hours into testing, dog tired and pushing their way through. These techniques arent only effective but realistic....as a martial artist even you should know you cant judge an art through "you tube"---stepping on a KAJU mat is how you understand

You are right, this is pretty lame. They should have kyokushin or shidokan black belt test. I dont believe all kajukenbo is like this

In a real situation, you will do what you practice... a false sense of security can get you hurt!

No contact? What is the brutal aspect of Kajukenbo? Point sparring and rehearsed techniques in front of an unresponsive opponent?
Please help me understand what Kajukenbo is about because I cannot get it from your videos.
