You do hear the bullet.

LOL Keep that damn chicken quiet!

@matrix49A But MASH did it first

@12Daniel7 I totally agree with you, but just a correction the episode was called "sometimes you hear the bullet" which hawkeye suggests while he is operating on Tommy before he passes instead of tommy's title "you never hear the bullet" and i think the line that made my heart sink was when henry says "Pierce, go help Mcintyre" which basically meant "give up Hawk there's nothing you can do".

Smothering a baby to avoid the bad guys finding you must be the most overused plot line in history. His acting is really bad in this scene.

Killing it made sense. Get over it, whiner boy.

@RandyMantoothlover51 Just calm down. Don't let ignorance influence you. Treat them like children and they will stop.

@TheMashwatcher585 For me it was episode #17 Sometimes You Never hear the Bullet. They bring Hawkeye's friend Tommy Gillis into the operating room and he dies on Hawkeye.

I love Alan Alda

@TheMashwatcher585 Agreed... Col Blake was one of the core central characters... this scene clip is when MASH was trying way too hard to win Emmy's and this overacting by Alda is typical.
One of my most vivid "TV Memories" ever was watching this episode as a kid. I understood why the woman killed the child..to not be found out and thereby saving everyone on the bus. What just made me cry a river watching it now is that I am a mom and fully understand all that moment in time and one action meant, did mean and would forever mean to those on that bus but most of all to that mother. Powerful. They don't make TV like this anymore folks. That saddens me also.

@MrTevB I say you have to check it out. Find it. buy it. Whatever. This scene is the climax. The build up is just as rewarding.
