  • I used powdered food for egg-layer fish fry, with spirulina. It's called Sera Micron. But you can use any food you like, if you powder it very well, for example, Tetra Reptomin or tablet food for bottom-feeder fish.

  • Eso se come un buey por las patas, si se lo echas! jajaja, en serio, comen de-to-do, vegetal y animal, pero yo les suelo echar pescado, que lo comen con voracidad. En cuanto hay hambre, se vuelven caníbales, ojo con que no les falte nunca comida.

  • I sold them very cheap (I had lots!), about 3$. They can breed succesfully when they are one year old (although my home-bred males mated when they were 7 months old). About one year and a half, that is the best moment, when females are fully grown.

    The best way to get them to mate is to do a water change with cold water, in early spring ... as if it was the rainy season ... It's not easy, but not impossible!
