@TheBoringBastard Just because they came out of the garage doesn't mean they went mainstream.
Nicke has said several times in interviews that they didn't want to keep making the same songs over and over, so they changed their music, and tried different things. The softer sound is what Hellacopters is, at least in my opinion, even though I'm still a big fan of the older stuff as well (faves being Soulseller and Red Light).

@SuperPekka Fine, they evolved and grew up, what ever. To my ears they went a little soft, considering how rough they sounded in the beginning. It started to sound too 70's to me. I didn't say they didn't rock anymore and it wasn't a diss, just my opinion. I have all their records anyway, because they still made good music. And I sure as hell didn't equate, associate or compare them to Bieber!
Bieber is just a little boy that the music industry has snatched up and made their own little puppet.

@TheBoringBastard How did they ever turn 'mainstream'? Their deeper songs (Down on Freestreet, for example) have always been deep and amazing, and their pure rock songs (Carry me Home, Might Come See You Tonight) have always been pure ROCK.
Just because they stopped recording stuff in a garage doesn't make them mainstream; it just means they grew up and wanted to evolve their music to a new direction.
Justin Bieber is mainstream, Hellacopters most certainly are not.

@TheCuchillosanchez I agree up to a point... let's put it thiw way, i dig the uruguayans Thunder Vegas, pretty good i must say.

@TheMrAdax They would have earned it for sure, they did hard work for their name. Personally I think it was a shame they went so mainstream in the end, but Head off had some very good songs in it that brought back the 'copters I loved in the beginning, even if just a little bit but still...

Christ! I just can'y get enough of this song. Would have been great if they'd done it live. One of the best tracks on the new album. A real grower.
