Aaron certainly went for it. His power notes were as crisp and clean as ever. His in-between lines are where he gets a little sloppy and rough around the edges. Thats what separates him from the others. But the judges were still bowled over. Randy called the ballad his wheelhouse. Ellen couldnt believe, given how well Aaron sang, that he is 16. You could hear everyone hold their breath as Simon started talking about Aarons struggles the past weeks, how he just didnt get Aaron anymore. Just not tonight, he said to cheers from the audience. Tonight, Simon said, Aaron was a different artist.
