This is a ceremony performed by Diyamu families from Maningrida, dancing and singing at 'tanks' camp at Ramingining in 1997. The Diyamu are Burarra-speaking Anbarra people with homelands located between Ramingining and Maningrida. Principal singers and dancers here include members of the legendary Letterstick Band. Superstar singer Colin Maxwell can be seen here whom I became good friends with, but like so many tragedies in Arnhem Land, passed away unexpectedly and well before his time several years ago. RIP brother, you were a true inspiration to so many. And your sweet voice will always soothe our souls in times of grief...

This was an entertaining Mamurrung ceremony which went on for a number of days. This is another clip that makes me feel sad, from missing so many friends and remembering the beautiful spirit of so many people...
