We liked Cannes a lot. Very different from Italian cities, it's cosmopolitan in spirit, and quite French. They seem to take their dogs everywhere with them. An abundance of little cafes, great shopping. Apparantly, there was a filt festival in town at the same time - we didn't feel it at all. Surprisingly, everybody was accomodating and polite, and made an effort to speak English. Yes, we liked Cannes.
