He said it's not just about the sex, and from a guy's perspective that was really honest. Having your girl tell you that she doesn't feel safe around you and that she doesn't want to be close to you is like having a ghost there that you can't touch or be close to. Girls are about emotional closeness, so sex doesn't mean as much as it does to guys.

I didn't watch this show this far into the series back when it first aired. But I can't believe that Charlie wanted to have a child with a woman who said she didn't even want it. She was caught drinking en route to Claudia's going away party. She has been a nasty person during and after the pregnancy - you can't force someone to change.
