@Ratmouth66 growing up in a small mountain town in PA. I had a 69 442 tricked 455. A friend had a challenger T/A (340). Both had 3 - 2 bbls. He had high gears. I had 2.56's. I remember running in to him at an intersection. Both turning onto the same road. Facing each other. Wow...that was 30 some years ago... He owned me...until about 70 mph. After that...gearing, and cubes took over.
I liked the weight, and stability of my olds. But...your post made me remember that day. thanks

Wow, a 340 small block takes a 455 olds, never woulda seen that coming, even if it was the T/A 340 =P
My uncle had a Cuda with the 340 T/A motor by the way, blew 2 drive shafts out of it before it got stolen haha

not sure what happened to the vid, but the AAR Cuda wins 13.229 at 104.84 to 13.391 at 103.66
