JPL scientists use advanced technologies to track asteroids and comets that have the potential to one day come close to Earth. This story details what seemed to be a close call with an asteroid named Apophis in 2004.

The treat is comets, not asteroids, and impacts often happen. We might get 3 months warning or less. Google:

thnx for this Vid .. ive been viewing alot of vids with regard to Apophis 2029-2036.
the scarey thing is, its the only asteroid ive heard about with the possibility of hitting us in my life time and whats worse they wont know its true trajectory until 2013.

h-bombs were invented a long time ago, and they are much more powerful than an a bomb which is pretty damn powerful! 400 meters isn't too much for nuclear weapons.
