I was looking for wolves along the Bow Valley Parkway between Banff and Lake Louise when I came accross a massive Grizzly. This was late October and he was in his winter coat which made this bear look even bigger! http://www.thereonearth.com

  • how far away were you?

  • It really is a blessing. Just do the drive as often as you can, early in the morning, and in the late afternoon. That being said, you can see bears any time of day in the spring when they are low in the valley looking for food!

  • You are so lucky! Ive always wanted to see a Grizzly (from a safe distance of course) and my husband and i l love to drive through the Bow Valley Parkway, but we havent had luck yet =( We've only seen one young black bear. But this grizzly is beautiful and so powerful at the same time.

  • Last walk and last berries snack before the long sleep ? The bear is wonderful and as heavy as his walking of his massive body must seem - he is able to pass to the high speed in the fraction of the second ! I like very much your video !

  • I wonder if that fatty could even run you down :)
