I really do feel blessed to have such an amazing horse come into my life.

He's come such a long way and there really is no other way to even explain how far he's come. He used to have all sorts of extra tack put on him, although I don't feel obliged to go into detail, it was other kinds of bits and martingales. He didn't like it at all.

The horse who was just about bolting into jumps a few years ago, tossing his head at any giving point he was able to, got too quick for flat, and sometimes even ran out after jumping, is now a more trusted horse and reliable horse than ever before.

He really shows how you don't need a fancy horse or the best horse at your barn to take you to better places and do better things. With Pongo, it took over a year to become the horse he is today and he still has some quirky days. He will never be perfect, but I don't want him to be. Even so, he's the best in my eyes. He's better than any made show horse out there, I don't care what facts or statistics have to say about that, he works his heart out to be his best.

We haven't been doing a lot of jumping because it's been so hot, hence my crapiness over fences. But his new saddle is working wonders on him, FAR better than the old one. I'm sad I didn't ask to switch out sooner.

It's been amazing lease on him, I'm sad to know it's a 50/50 for leasing during Sept. and it may not happen. Nonetheless, I'll still ride him as much as I did when I didn't lease him. I'm just glad to have spent time with him, it really was a blast and personally I think he liked it too, even just a little bit.

Just so you know about Jimmy: He's doing great. I don't bring my camera out to his barn anymore but I see him all the time. Nothing bad happened to him, no foot issues or anything. He's been perfect, minus the darn flies.
