Fanatec Turbo S GT3RS rim exchange- Part 1 (fixed)

Part 1 of How To: Put a Fanatec 911 GT3RS Alcantara suede steering wheel rim on the new Fanatec 911 Turbo S wheel, which is Xbox 360 compatible. Basically I swap the steering wheel rim and base cover between the two wheels to get my preferred feel/look wheel on the new model which works will all platforms (GT3RS only is PS3 or PC compatible.

By the way all, Fanatec has now made a new product that is, ahem, very similar to my "frankenwheel" I made in these videos. So no more buying two wheels and risking butchering one or both. Also, this is now the only Xbox 360/PS-3/PC compatible wheel available. As far as I'm concerned, the best of both worlds (with the latest firmware & features they've added, and light up buttons too!) It's called the 911 GT2. I can't post links here but just search for it if you're interested.

My wife got the flashlight, not sure where. It says Energizer SuperCharge on it. Plugs into a sort of power chord docking station to charge. Pretty nice but could be brighter.

@Mikemav3 and you can change the GT2 into a GT3 RS xD you only gotta change the black stripe into a yellow one xD and i thought there whas 1 more wheel wich has multiplatform? a real crappy one with just 180 degrees and shit and thats full of plastic xD

Would you have to be some kind of soldering god to mount a real sized wheel to this thing?

I need to get access to the base of the wheel to install the metal mounting inserts the bottom of the base. My wheel was defective and didn't come with them installed, so Fanatec sent me the parts. Do I need to remove the wheel from the hub to get the base opened up and parts installed? Thanks.

After using the turbo s, does the wheel get loose? because ive had wheels in the past that get loose after prolonged use and its very annoying

I am planning on getting a new steering wheel, I already have a G25 wich I bought in 2007 but I think it sucks. Should I choose the clubsport edition or the 911 Turbo wheel? I only have a PC so the xbox support wont be relevant.
