Review Nikon Coolpix AW 100 - 1080p* - bright light - backlight FULL HD TEST

This is a test of the new Nikon Coolpix AW 100 Outdoor Cam. Conditions: Sunny weather with a lot of dark shadows, filmed at Auesee Wesel. This is where the camera lacks a little for my opinion. The contrast is set to high for my taste, so that the shadows tend to be too dark. The camera display shows a much better picture than on the pc monitor.
But considering that this little thing is not a real video cam, it is quite good. I like it, it is doing what I bought it for. I will take it to a asia trip.

I don't know the Sony Cam, so I cannot judge it. But I am very satisfied with my Nikon Coolpix AW 100. Just check my other videos to get an impression what it can do and what it can't do.

The cameras audio is quite good. Stereo. But you are right, zooming in and out can be audible. When I want to capture scenes with audio, I use my Tascam (GuitarTrainer). It also depends on the noise level. In quite situations the camera will automaticly set to sensitive gain. You should give it I try maybe. All in all it is a very good cam. I am in asia for 6 month now. This was the reason to buy. I will start uploading more videos in the near future. So I will make some with audio tests too.

How come no audio? I've been trying to see if this camera's mic picks up noise from zoom or from shifting the camera in your hands. My current camera's mic is completely flooded out by the noise of me simply shifting the camera in my hands.
