Very cool photo of Mario back there, where did you get? Well, comparisons are inevitable since they are so damn fucking alike: boss battles, press button sequences, hell theme, bloodier slash enemies hack type of game...But what can't happen is exactly what you are saying. The hype around GodOfWar is too damn high, and to Dante's Inferno it was just "oh, ok, let's play this". I played GodOfWar, its good, but it's not a 10 game like everybody is rating. Here in Brazil, rated 10. Dante rated 8,0.

@TheGamerClubber Also, I thought GoW3 was a 10 in my opinion, but i have to say, I think I actually played Dante's Inferno more. Tomorrow the long awaited DLC comes out! The Trials of St. Lucia!

I completely agree with what you say. It wasn't that bad, it was just really similar to God of War. That doesn't make it bad. I mean, if the game industry and its critics were that harsh to Dante's Inferno, why do sequels get such high reviews? Isn't Modern Warfare 2 EXACTLY the same thing as MW1? Oh, but that gets game of year of awards.

@LeoPirate Exactly my point. And you know whatelse is funny? My friend just got a PS3 and asked to borrow some of my games. I loaned him one and he gave it back in a week. Then I loaned him Dante's inferno and he keeps begging for more time to beat it again! And he already beat it TWICE. Hmmm... guess the game is FUN.

Thank you so much I wasnt going to get this game because of the reviews saying it's ok but now I am and have you gotten the trails of St Lucia if you have tell me how good it is

... Reason 5; Plot was straight forward and easy to understand in D.I while G.O.W seemed to put more effort in texture and gameplay (which was good) but lacked in a good plot.

Finally Reason 6; Although Satan was easy to beat, his boss fight was far more epic, well expected and entertaining than Persefonie who shows up out of nowhere, frustraiting to beat and absolutly unsaticefying after beating her.

... Reason 1; most different enimys are not just recycled in color so you get a larger veriety of enimies.

Reason 2; 11 stages (including intro and arrival) as oppose to 3 even though gameplay is the same runtime.

Reason 3; stage 2 in G.O.W had too much puzzles.

Reason 4; More bosses in D.I...

I got beat the game on psp in 6 hours and I enjoied it more than god of war chains of olympus...
