  • hi!

i'm practicing hung gar for 3 years. our sifu taught us these stances in a different way. in arrow stance we have to keep our feet in 45 degrees (or more), because it saves your peg against tread and break into pieces.

always attract attention in arrow stance to your back leg's heel. when turn into arrow stance, don't slide back your heel, because your power will be lost at that point. turn the leg on heel and peg have to look at the way of you punch, or turn.

Yes "I" understand all that already. Been doing Hung Gar for years. Only but so much I can say in a video. If a teacher gives out to much information it can confuse a student. Others can read what you said and hopefully take it into account. But as I said there is only but so much I can say in a video.

  • @standbyjohnny79 what kind of hung gar blocks do you learn so i can look up those blocks

  • Hung ga? low stances

  • One very important advise I want to give you, is to keep te following in mind:

You knees never overlook your toes. Meaning that you should make sure your stances are not too low when doing Sai Ping Ma (what you call Ma Bo), set your feet same direction, BUT if you push out your knees sideways to make it a more stable stance, DO move your toes outward to prevent your lower legs from 'torque'-ing too much. You should (in Horse and in Bow stance) be able to see your toes over your knees.

  • oh and other difference: to train your legs well, try to keep your "weightpoint" on the same height. i try to upload a video asap. if you see it, you can understand it well, because my english is poor :S
