@Rachelle027569 Horses are often filtered through the slaughter process without waiting for drugs to filter out of their systems. Thus why race tracks use the saying seven days from stable to table. They are also given drugs that are BANNED for human consumption. See USDA's lists on banned substances. :

This is disturbing. I would save an animal ANY ANIMAL before I would a human because humans are just so cruel ometimes and animals give us all unconditional love if they are cared for correctly. How could you do that to an animal? If I had money lie a celeb or big CEO I would PAY to shut these places down and find the people working here and give them a good ass whoopin to see if they like it.

As a young girl I remember a neighbor who took in horses for slaughter. I remember hearing them all night before they were killed. They knew it was coming.I was told they were mostly horses people could not afford to keep. Many were young and healthy horses. Few were old and sick They became dog food. Once there was a prize stallion that the man who owned the land had kept on trying to sell him... I was very young but never forgot this.They used a sledgehammer between the eyes to kill them.

mankind makes me sick to my stomach, we abuse these animals all there life proclaiming we have greater rights than them, but then to top it all offwe do things such as this to them at the end.

whatever the horses are.........rejects etc.........the conditions of killing are inhumane in the extreme...............and as is pointed out by the time you eat it is riddled with all the evil of mankind......be it action or forms of medication etc...............it should be below us - this form of treatment......anytime anywhere...with any living being............
