This music brings tears to the eyes, not in sadness, but in ecstasy. It opens the intuition to transcendent dimensions, and stirs a deep longing. It's hard to describe. It gives us mere mortals a glimpse of the Infinite. I listened to it a few times last week. Some especially beautiful passages replayed in my head during the days that followed, but not as the tune itself, note for note, but instead replayed as a vista of ecstasy that my mind could recall.

What a GRAND performance. !!!

This is very well played, although I have heard recordings in which the astounding bass part of this score is played more preponderantly. Heavenly music. Heavenly, absolutely.

Whoa! That is played so fast....
My day is incomplete without a dose of this type of music! The soul is uplifted to great heights and the sense of wonder is increased. In a world of so much badness this is an oasis of calmness and tranquillity. Imagine a world without music, then give thanks for the mystic harmony linking sense and sound and sight. And Bach is right at the centre of it. Stunning playing as ever. Grateful thanks, toxiconegro.
