2001: Evolution

Here's kind of a summary of 2001: A Space Oddyssey. The idea is to highlight the concept of evolution, given by the almost anonymous Monolith (hence its constant reference). The video has an order:

1- Mankind's mental as well as technological evolution as a result of having contact with the Monolith.

2- A.I. evolution (HAL reading lips, becoming self-aware, and obviously, killing)

3- Individual evolution, again thanks to the Monolith, when Dave crosses the Stargate, goes through some serious transformations and becomes the Star Child. Pure evolution.


It's not a trailer since I'm revealing the ending, just like in the rest of my videos. I used Strauss's "Thus Spake Zarathustra" like many in Youtube anyway, because after fooling around with a lot of musical choices I realized there's no other tune that fit this well!

Acá un pequeño resumen de 2001: A Space Oddyssey. La intención es mostrar la evolución gracias al casi anónimo Monolito, por eso la constante referencia a él. El video sigue este orden:

1- La evolución tanto mental como tecnológica del ser humano gracias al contacto con el Monolito.

2- La evolución de la inteligencia artificial (HAL leyendo labios, volviendose autoconsciente y matando, obvio)

3- La evolución individual, de nuevo gracias al Monolito, cuando Dave atraviesa el portal estelar, sufre unas cuantas transformaciones en el viaje y se convierte en el "Niño Estelar". Evolución pura.


No es un trailer porque estoy develando el final, como en todos mis videos. De todas formas usé "Thus Spake Zarathustra" de Strauss al igual que mucha gente en Youtube porque despues de dar vueltas y probar con muchas variantes musicales, vi que no hay nada que pegue mejor!
