Evernew Titanium Meths Burner and Solo Set

Could this be the ideal solo cook set? Titanium pot, mug, meths stove, wood burner, windshield and all the associated extras at only 301g. Evernew are new to the UK, but in the US they are a well know Japanese manufacture using the highest possible quality .3mm Titanium.

Please note that I made a mistake in this video stating that the Trivet was 'only' to be used with the Meths Burner, it also serves the same job on top of the DX Stand, and narrows the flame for a narrow pot such as the Solo Set.

this might be the ultimate cooking set, love the fact that it can be used with wood, have you tried it?

@DrChrisBiomed Yes I've used it as a wood burner and due the size of the item, very small twigs are all that is needed to boil water etc. Nothing bigger than a pencil gets things boiling in 6 mins.

I know that htese stoves fit into the Trangia Storm Cookers. is the stove more efficent than the trangia ? Looks really well made.

@XCritonX The stove is quite open to air so that should not happen. If the plate could be used on top of burning wood, then you would get the same effect as a Bush Cooker : first you burn wood, but once it's hot enough, you no longer burn wood itself but extract gases from the wood, and ignite them because they burn at a much higher temperature than the wood itself (this is what makes Bush Cookers effective : burning the wood gases rather than just burning wood).

The science of it is the plate will get very high in temperature, and it will add itself to the flame combustion temperature, and you get a better burning out of gas because more of the air has its temperature augmented. The power plate use it to increase the aspired air temperature, closer to the gas burning temperature, so it burns better (it burns but produces a higher temperature, without the power plate the air is colder and part of energy is lost in augmenting the air temperature).
