Do you prefer Fujitsu, IBM, or NCR? We have nothing but NCR around my parts of the country, but Sam's is getting IBM ones put in (I have seen them installed, now just waiting on them to be activated). I think the Sam's ones are Credit card only, but I still am going to try it out.

$20 for all your grocerys. Not bad. That would cost $40 at a grocery store near me.

i love these self cheackout machines why are people angry mostly oldtimers and lazys not all but some we all need to move on people leran it leave it love it :)

@g4tech I LOVE Fujitsu U-Scan. It is definitely my favorite self checkout. Stop & Shop mostly has IBM, but a few Stop & Shops around here do have Fujitsu U-Scan. I seriously go out of my way to go to other Pathmarks with Optimal/Fujitsu because mine just has two IBM machines. Don't get me started on NCR, my least favorite for both self and regular POS software/hardware.

We have Fujitsu UScan units that had those same NCR scanners in some of the stores by me. The scanners themselves were replaced by the newer Datalogic Magellan which is light years better than this.

@tommyboy6181: Mine recently got Datalogic Magellan as well, but it's the only store that I know of (well, besides yours now) that has anything other than these piece of crap NCRs.

Looks like that newer IBM unit still has the older model NCR Scanner. Those have never been that great to begin with.

@tommyboy6181: I think they just used the old scanner or something; they used to have PSI here. I hate these NCRs as well.
