  • Nice video, as usual. However, I think that looking at Dhalsim's stage, you can definitely see what I was talking about. The elephants seem to slide across the floor, or float. It doesn't look as good as on the SFC. You can also see it on the Zangief stage, with then chain handle thing on the right hand side. It's not as bad, but you can still tell.

  • I see what you mean now. The arcade does that a lot too. It stands out more in the PC Engine version since the front elephants don't scroll separately from the rest of the background.

  • Also, the tub in E.Honda's stage doesn't line scroll in the PC Engine version. I'm not bashing it, just be objective. This is coming from a guy who at one time owned a boxed Supergrafx, Coregrafx, PC Engine CDROM2 sealed and never played, Turbo Duo sealed and never played, a regular white PCE, Turbografx 16 with standard CD attachment, and tons of games. I'm a huge NEC fan, and have been for years.

  • Yeah, but at least they made the tub more detailed and modeled after the arcade. It still would've been nice if it also had the overflow animation in place of line scrolling.

They included the rock on Chun Li's stage in the PCE version. More additions like that would've been nice, but it wasn't a Capcom release.

  • I like Chun Li's legs ^_^

  • I always thought it was neat how the floors in SFII had that 3D scrolling to them.

  • Now compare the Saturn and Ps1 ports of SFII on the collections discs to the PC engine port XP.

  • Notice that the PC engine actually renders at a lower resolution than the Genesis version. The fact is, the Genesis had the best CPU of the 3, 2nd place in music, while the SNES was second place in CPU power, but first place in music. and of course had nice on board hardware for scaling rotation. The PC engine? Dead last in all categories. It was simply outclassed by Nintendo and Sega by far. It's CPU is 8-bit lol, not even a true 16bit console.

  • superpcenginegrafx... you are the strangest PC Engine fanboy on the internet. All these bizarre comparisons. You need to face reality. Despite the fact that this port is pretty close to it's Genesis/SNES games, the PC Engine is hands down the weakest hardware of the 3. It has a piss poor processor, and the weakest sound.

  • This whole video, I'm thinking,

"(Ryu and Chun Li <---having sex)

  • Most other stages in the same version also don't line scroll.

  • Excellent video! It's great to see someone capturing stuff from genuine hardware rather than emulators, for once.

  • nice observation it seems the PCEngine version has more clearity then the others. Althought the graphics are less but then again i cant tell the diffrence.I mean they really push the limit of the HuCartrige. Kudos to them!

  • For reals! I think a few of the CPS1-2 fighting games had it as well. Off the top of my head, the Alpha series as well as Darkstalkers I believe. ^_^
